Antescript for Cursor
The notes before the commit.
For people who build with Cursor. Write the PRD it works from in a page your team edits, and let it note what it decided in the same place.
A PRD Cursor can read
Start from the Spec template: the problem, the goals, the proposal and the open questions, as headings. Cursor reads the page as markdown, so “build what the Proposal section describes” points at something exact, and the spec stays in a document your whole team edits rather than a file in one repo that drifts from what was agreed.
Decisions go back in the doc
When it settles something while it codes, ask Cursor to write it under Open questions, or to add a section of its own. It writes into the live page, under its own name and mark, while your team keeps editing; nothing is copied back by hand. It can also tell you what changed on a page since a time, as a diff, before it starts the next part.
Diagrams of what it built
Ask for the architecture and it draws a design: boxes, connectors and screen mockups on a canvas, that you move and relabel by hand and it can change again by element. Type /design on the spec to show it there as a figure.
Connect Cursor
Cursor connects with a few lines in its settings file and one sign-in, and works as an agent of its own, Cursor, beside any Claude your team uses. Any assistant works the same way: Claude or another AI assistant you connect can read and add to your pages, as you, only where you could, and it can’t delete for good, share or publish. Free includes 100 assistant calls a day; Agents has the steps.
