These are the terms for using Antescript, a collaborative notes app made by Abyssinia Labs LLC. By signing in you agree to them.
The service
Antescript gives you workspaces of pages that you and the people you invite can edit together, import and export as markdown, and reach through an API with tokens you create. It is offered as is, in active development, and may change; we will say so when a change removes something you rely on.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens under it, including what agents do with the tokens you create. Revoke a token as soon as you think it has leaked.
Your content
What you write is yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it, show it to the people you chose, search it for you, and back it up. You can export everything and delete it forever at any time.
What not to do
Do not use Antescript to store, share or publish:
- phishing or scams, or anything that pretends to be another person or service;
- malware, or links meant to deliver it;
- spam, including pages made only to game search results;
- content that is illegal;
- harassment, threats, or someone else's private information;
- other people's work that you have no right to share.
Do not attack the service or other people's workspaces, and do not use the API to overload it.
Reports, take-downs and suspension
Anyone can report a published page with Report this page at its foot, or by writing to compliance@antescript.app. We read every report. We may take a page that breaks these terms off the web: the owner of its workspace is told why, the page stays in the workspace to read, edit and export, and it cannot be published again unless we restore it.
We may suspend an account that breaks them. A suspended account cannot sign in, its API tokens stop working, and the pages published from the workspaces it owns are taken down; we say why by mail. Its workspaces are kept, and we export them on request. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that mail or write to support@antescript.app.
Plans and payment
Antescript has a free plan and two paid plans, Starter and Team, with the limits and prices shown under Pricing on the front page. The free plan needs no card. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars, through Stripe, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You are responsible for any taxes that apply; where we must collect tax, it is shown before you pay.
Team is priced per editor: each person who can edit in the workspaces you own, you included, counted once however many of those workspaces they edit in. Viewers are free up to the plan's limit. Adding an editor takes effect at once, and you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the period; removing one takes effect at the end of the period.
Moving up to a bigger plan takes effect at once, and you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the period. Moving down takes effect at the end of the period. When an account leaves Team, the people who could edit in its workspaces, other than the owner, become viewers at that point; their pages, comments and history stay, and they keep reading. We may change a plan's price with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your first renewal after that.
If a payment fails, your plan keeps working for 7 days while you update your payment details. After that, new editors, new workspaces, uploads and agent calls above the free plan's limits pause until the payment goes through, and an account that stays unpaid moves to the free plan's limits. Billing never deletes your content.
Trials
Team can be tried free for 14 days, without a card, once per account. The trial is offered when you first invite someone to edit in a workspace you own. Nothing is charged when it ends: the account returns to the plan it had, and anyone above that plan's limits becomes a viewer, with nothing deleted. You can move to Team during or after the trial.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Plan & billing in Antescript, or by writing to us. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then does not renew. Your content stays, and the free plan's limits apply from then on.
Payments are non-refundable, including for the unused part of a period, except where the law requires a refund. If you believe you were charged in error, write to us within 30 days of the charge and we will refund a mistaken charge.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service up and your data safe, and keep snapshots of every page, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any loss arising from the service is limited to what you have paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free account is nothing.
Ending
You can stop at any time by exporting and deleting your workspaces, or by asking us to delete your account. We may end the service or an account with notice, and will give you time to export. A suspension for breaking these terms comes without notice, and the export is then on request.
