Work together

Invite editors and viewers by email, share one page with one person, publish a page to the web, comment beside the text, see who is here, restore history.

Members and roles

The workspace’s name in the sidebar opens Members. Invite people by email address as editors, who write, or viewers, who read. Each invitation is mailed, and whoever signs in with that address joins. The owner changes roles and can remove anyone else, who hears of it by mail.

Share one page

Share above a page gives that page, and nothing else, to one person, who can edit or only view it. Someone who has signed in before gets it at once; anyone else gets it when they first sign in.

Publish to the web

Under Share, turn Publish to the web on for a public address anyone can read with no account, in the theme you choose; the pages under it can go too, and search engines stay out unless you let them in. Nobody edits a published page; turning it off takes it back, and the address is the same next time.

Comments

Select text and choose Add comment, then send with the arrow or ⌘↵. The thread opens beside the text. Hover marked text to see who started a thread, click it to reply, react or resolve. Comments in the sidebar lists every open and resolved thread in the workspace. Viewers read comments; editors write them.

See who’s here

The header shows everyone else on the page, and their cursors carry their names as they type.

History

A snapshot of a page is kept every few minutes of editing and when the last person leaves. History above the page lists them; restoring one is an edit like any other, so anyone typing keeps their text, and the page as it was just before is kept as a snapshot too.
