Write and format
Type / for headings, lists, to-dos, toggles, code, tables, images and callouts; start from a template; use markdown as you type; mention a page with @.
A page is a stack of blocks. Everyone on the page edits at the same time, and edits merge without anyone losing text.
The block menu
Type / on an empty line for headings, lists, to-dos, toggles, quotes, code, tables, images, files and callouts. Keep typing to filter it.
Templates
An empty page offers Use a template under its title. The picker holds six forms, a decision record, a spec, a plan, meeting notes, a spike and a retrospective, and says what each is for; pick one and the page fills in, then type over the prompts. Any page can be a template for the workspace: Use as template, in its actions row, puts it in the picker for everyone.
Markdown as you type
#,##,###and a space for headings-for a list,1.for a numbered one,[]for a to-do>for a quote and```for code**bold**,*italic*and`code`inline
Callouts and toggles
A callout makes a note stand out; click its icon to cycle note, tip, important, warning and caution. A toggle hides what is nested under it until someone opens it.
Images and files
Paste or drop an image or a file into the page, or choose Image or File from the block menu. Files stay with the page and are only readable by people who can open it.
Mention a page
Type @ and pick a page, or keep typing to find one; a page that does not exist yet is made from what you typed. The mention opens the page; rest on it for a moment for a peek at its first words. The page lists every page that mentions it under Linked from. In markdown a mention is a link to the page, and a link to a page comes back in as a mention.
Formatting
Select text for the toolbar: bold, italic, underline, strike, code, links, colours and Add comment. Undo and redo are your own; they never undo someone else’s typing.
