Organize your sidebar
Nest and reorder pages by dragging, gather them in shared or private groups, star the ones you return to, and keep finished pages in the trash for 30 days.
The sidebar is the workspace’s map. A few habits keep it one you can read at a glance.
Nest and order pages
Put a page inside another with the parent’s plus button, and give a project one page with its specs, decisions and notes under it. Drag a page onto another to put it inside, or to the top or bottom edge of a page to place it above or below. The page’s menu makes the same moves from the keyboard: up, down, under the page above, or out a level. A branch opens by itself when you’re on a page in it.
Group pages
Groups are named sections in the sidebar, like Product or Research. Make one with the folder button beside Pages, then move a page into it from the page’s menu; the pages under it come along. Move a group up or down from its menu. A shared group is the same for everyone in the workspace. A private group is yours alone: its pages are hidden from everyone else, the workspace’s owner included, until you share one by address. Whoever made a group can switch it between shared and private from its menu.
Pages shared with you
When someone shares a page with you, it appears in a section named for the workspace it comes from, and the section goes away with the last share.
Favorites and Recent
Star the pages you come back to from their menu; they stay at the top. Recent lists the last pages you opened in this workspace.
Trash, don’t hoard
Move what’s finished to the trash. It keeps a page, with everything under it, for 30 days; restore it from there, or delete it for good sooner.
Delete a workspace
The owner deletes a workspace from the workspace menu, typing its name to confirm. Every page in it goes for good, with its files, history and comments, and everyone loses access, so export it from the Pages menu first to keep a copy.
